Football today has a much better image and generates huge amounts of money.
Football players have to be skilled in the art and very fit, the competition is intense and only the best will be considered. In the Jules Rimit competition countries from all over the world play each other over a 4 week period every 4 years.
The Football industry is huge and television channels often compete for the media rights while players and managers command massive salaries. Watching Football is more popular than playing it among the younger generations. There are soccer academies for those that want to participate in this sport and get some specialist training. It is fantastic exercise in this digital era and children should be encouraged to play. There are several playing positions to choose from, so something for everyone. Governments often fund these schools as they are aware of the huge amounts of tourist spectators it can bring into the country.
